The belief in God(s) has evolved with mankind. Every civilization around the world had its "pantheon of Gods",and as mankind traveled the globe in the name of commerce and wars;religion has spread with it.Religion, has given mankind hope that we can transcend the imperfections and troubles of this world for a better place, but religion has gotten a bad rap,because of the people(pedophiles,slave owners,cult leaders), who have used it to destroy their fellow man. If we let these people destroy our faith in God and humanity , what will stop us from destroying ourselves?
i'm honestly not sure of religion i believe in good and bad. I also think the bible raises a lot of questions too, i can't comprehend why someone would create people in his image knowing who,what, where, when & how they sin and if they will make it to heaven before they are even created.. that to me seems like a form of sadism. I have the option of asking someone "closer" to god then i.. yet i decline simply because i expect the traditional christian answer. now & days i agree people use religion for personal gain and hope.
